Thai Yoga Bodywork, traditionally called nuad boran, is an ancient healing art form that combines stretching, acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures to balance the body, mind, and spirit. A balanced blend of physical, energetic, and spiritual healing techniques and concepts, Thai massage involves both targeted and broad acupressure, finding and dissolving energy blockages, stimulating energy lines (sen lines), opening and toning the body with yoga stretches, and allowing the receiver to experience deep relaxation and renewal.
The benefits of Thai Yoga Bodywork include greater joint flexibility, enhanced blood circulation, improved body alignment and posture, deeper breathing, the stimulation of internal organs, and energy balancing.
Our Tula Thai™ approach is the skillful combination of traditional Thai massage blended with Western massage techniques individually tailored to promote optimal health. Performed fully clothed in comfortable, flexible clothing on a Thai yoga mat, Thai Yoga Bodywork is appropriate for all body types and all varying types of flexibility. This whole body approach is effective for overall therapeutic healing and additionally for specific injuries, chronic pain, prenatal massage, and restricted range of motion. Thai Yoga Bodywork is wonderful as a stand-alone modality and as a complementary treatment modality to trauma-informed bodywork, physical therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture therapies.
